Let's Go Outdoors Radio Network expands coverage

Edmonton - Four Alberta radio stations have been added to the Let's Go Outdoors Radio network:
* 106.1 FM in Airdrie
* 95.3 FM in Cochrane / MD Rocky View
* 790-CFCW based in Camrose
* CIQX FM out of Calgary
Starting this weekend, both the half-hour program and daily features will be heard on 106.1 FM in Airdrie and 95.3 FM in Cochrane. Both stations are run by Tiessen Media with their signals also serving the Municipal District of Rocky View. The half-hour program will be heard Sunday mornings at 7:30 am. The daily features run on a rotating basis, at various times throughout the week.
Tiessen Media's Program Director Bruce Daniels is pleased with the new programming element being added to their stations: "We're a community-based station focused mainly on local programming. Let's Go Outdoors is a perfect fit for our station and our listeners. It's a program that benefits anyone who enjoys the great outdoors!"
Starting on Sunday, October 7th, Let's Go Outdoors will also be featured on the number one country music station in the province, 790-CFCW based in Camrose. On the same day, Let's Go Outdoors returns to Calgary via CIQX FM. Both stations will air the program Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m.

Let's Go Outdoors, both the daily feature and the weekly edition, covers a wide range of topics related to the outdoors:
* Activities: where to go, what to do, what gear to use and safety
tips
* Issues: conservation, research, hot topics
* Education: learn more about a variety of outdoor subjects
* Experience: Host Michael Short often gets personally involved in
outdoor activities and brings his in-field experience to his listeners.
The Let's Go Outdoors daily feature is a short, 60-second look at current outdoor topics. It often combines interviews with subject experts with some editorial comment.
The weekly edition is a half-hour, magazine format that provides more time to delve into topics of interest including longer interviews and special features.
